Welcome to Vincent’s Pokémon Trade-Up Journey

Hey there, and welcome to the official blog for Vincent’s Pokémon Trade-Up Journey — or as it's become known, #TradeUpForVincent.

My name’s Steven (aka Cool Trainer Dad), and I’m just one dad on a mission to make a difference — for my son Vincent, and hopefully for a lot of others along the way. Vincent has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a rare and progressive condition that affects his mobility and strength. Our goal is simple but powerful: to trade Pokémon cards — starting from the small stuff — and work our way up toward high-value cards and collectibles that can help fund accessibility needs, therapy, and equipment to make Vincent’s life easier and fuller.

We’re doing this through the power of community, transparency, and storytelling. Every trade, every donation, and every milestone is tracked and shared publicly. The Pokémon community has been incredible — with collectors, creators, and shops all showing support as we climb step by step.
